Deadlock is a fantastic game that offers several interesting heroes, one of which is Grey Talon. The hero is very interesting and has a strong ultimate that can make a huge difference. Sadly, some players did not realize he was strong until recently, which was when Valve intervened.
Grey Talon Changes
At the time of writing, Grey Talon has more than a 60% pick rate and a win rate that is closer to 50%. These stats may not seem that impressive on paper, but the reality is that he is in a much better position now than before.
Grey Talon in Deadlock shines in long-distance fights. As a result, it’s definitely wise to get items that will boost this ability. Most people nowadays get things like Sprint Boosts, as well as Ethereal Shift. The latter is very strong and allows you to become one of the most dangerous heroes in the game. There are a lot of other types of builds that you can go for, so it all depends on the situation.
The only bad news is that Valve decided to step in and nerf Grey Talon’s abilities. The minor update from a few days ago decreased the hero’s bullet damage from 30 to 27. Moreover, Spirit Power now provides slightly less movement speed
Grey Talon’s Current State in Deadlock?
Judging from what we have seen, the hero feels a bit underrated at the moment. He is definitely not the best option you can get because this honor goes to names like McGinnis, Abrams, and others.
Don’t forget that the game is relatively new, so it’s a matter of time before more people learn how to use Grey Talon to his full potential. He is a solid pick and can become very hard to kill. We’ll follow his stats and update on his performance in the future.
