It’s been a while since the Dota 2 gave us access to a new patch, but it is finally here. Although this is not the big update players were hoping for, the Dota 2 Patch 7.37e brought several interesting changes. Almost all of them are small buffs and nerfs to certain heroes, so let’s learn more.
Dota 2 Patch 7.37e Hero Changes
If you look at everything new in the Dota 2 Patch 7.37e, you will see that most are hero changes. We won’t go through everything new because many heroes received buffs and nerfs. Some, however, are more important than others, so let’s dive in.
Alchemist
The first hero that received a bit more changes in the latest Dota 2 update is Alchemist. Here is what is new:
- Mixologist (his facet) now reduces the cooldown of Unstable Concoction by 35% instead of 30%.
- Acid Spray’s mana cost is now 105/110/115/120 instead of 110
- Unstable Conconction’s cooldown is 17s instead of 15s
Axe
One Dota 2 hero that we definitely expected to see getting nerfed is Axe. He has been very strong recently, so the Dota 2 patch 7.37e changed the following two things:
- One Man Army (his facet) now gives 40% of his armor as strength, not 50%.
- Battle Hunger’s movement slow is now 15/20/25/30% instead of 11/19/27/35%.
Earth Spirit
Despite not being the most popular hero, Earth Spirit also receive several important changes. Unfortunately, patch 7.37e in Dota 2 nerfed a lot of his talents, as well as one of his main abilities.
- Boulder Smash’s bonus damage against creeps is now 1.25x instead of 1.4x.
- Earth Spirit’s Level 10 Talent gives +8% spell Amp instead of +10%.
- The other Level 10 Talent now gives -2s Geomagnetic Grip Cooldown instead of +200 Rolling Boulder Distance.
- The hero’s level 15 talent grants +25% Magnetize Damage and Duration instead of +30%.
- Lastly, his level 20 talent gives +250 Rolling Boulder Distance instead of -3s Geomagnetic Grip.
Kez
The newest Dota 2 hero, Kez, has been out for a few weeks now, and he already has results. As expected, however, Valve decided that some of his abilities were a bit too strong. As a result, the company nerfed them in 7.37e.
- Echo Slash’s Bonus Hero Damage is now 25/45/65/85 instead of 30/45/60/75
- Grappling Claw’s hero bonus lifesteal is 40/80/120/160 instead of 50/100/150/200
Medusa
As one of the most popular Dota 2 heroes in the current meta, Medusa is a name that definitely deserves more attention. As expected, the latest Dota 2 patch 7.37e has introduced several big nerfs that people need to be aware of:
- Venomous Volley (facet) no longer applies the poison to illusions, but it scales with Split Shot. The movement slow is now 15/20/25/30/35% instead of 35% on all levels. The attack speed slow is also rescaled because it is 20/35/50/65/80 instead of 80 on all levels.
- Mana Shield’s base damage per mana is down from 2.4 to 2.2.
- SplitShot’s outgoing damage reduction is now 50/60/70/80% instead of 40/55/70/85%.
Primal Beast
If you are a fan of Primal Beast, the Dota 2 new patch brings a few interesting changes. Overall, the hero will feel as good (or bad, depending on how you look at it) as before.
- Trample’s mana cost is now 100 instead of 90.
- Pulverize’s hit damage is now 100/175/250 instead of 125/175/225.
- Primal Beast’s level 10 talent called Onslaught Damage is now +80 instead of +90.
Wraith King
The last Dota 2 hero that we’d like to share more about in terms of changes after the Dota 2 Patch 7.37e is Wraith King. There are three big things you need to know here:
- Vampiric Spirit’s Lifesteal is now 16/24/32/40% instead of 20/30/40/50%
- Mortal Strike’s Critical Damage is 160/200/240/280% instead of 150/200/250/300
- The hero’s first level 20 talent gives him +60 instead of +70 AS.
- The second level 20 talent now gives +40% instead of 35% Cleave
Item Changes
In terms of the Item Changes in Patch 7.37e, there is only one new thing, and it is related to Khanda. After the changes, the recipe costs 500 instead of 600, which means its total cost is 5100 instead of 5200.
In terms of the item’s Empower Spell, the bonus damage from the caster’s attack is now 60% instead of 75%.
